At the 85th edition of the March 2015 Geneva motor show, Kia unveiled the second-generation ceed SW in the new GT Line, which fills the niche between the regular Seed and its charged GT modification.
Distinctive features of the station wagon were reduced only to visual improvements to the exterior and interior decoration in the spirit of a 204-horsepower "hot hatch".
The face of the versatile GT Line Sid develops the sporty design language that has been demonstrated on the heated hatchback performances. The car stands out with an aerodynamic body kit with LED "ice cubes" at the front and a diffuser with twin exhaust pipes at the rear, as well as 17-inch wheels with stylish rims.
In terms of overall dimensions, the Kia ceed SW GT Line repeats the base model: length - 4505 mm (the wheelbase from this figure accounts for 2650 mm), height - 1485 mm, width - 1780 mm, ground clearance - 150 mm.
Inside, the differences between the "shed" in the GT Line version and the standard station wagon are not so noticeable: higher-quality finishing materials, aluminum pedals, other color options and "taut" front seats with a developed profile.
For the rest of the parameters, the machines are identical.
Including the capacity of the luggage compartment and the possibility of transforming the cabin.
Specifications. The Kia ceed GT Line is equipped with two direct injection units:
- gasoline three-cylinder turbo engine with a volume of 1.0 liter, generating 120 "horses" and 171 Nm of peak thrust,
- and naturally aspirated 1.6-liter diesel "four" with 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.
In a pair to the first is assigned a 6-speed "mechanics", and to the second - also a 7-band "robot" DCT with two clutches.
Structurally "Sid SV" with GT Line package is identical to the base "shed": front-wheel drive "bogie", independent suspension of all wheels (MacPherson struts on the front and "multi-link" on the rear), electric booster and disc brakes on all wheels.
Options and prices. In the Russian market, the Kia ceed SW GT Line station wagon is not officially sold, but in Europe the price tag for it starts at 23,590 euros.
By default, the car is equipped with 6 airbags, 7-inch "TV" multimedia center, ABS with EBD, ESP, combined interior trim, aerodynamic body kit, dual-zone "climate", 17-inch wheel disks and other "chips".
