Mercedes-Benz Citan Tourer Off-Road is an “all-terrain” version of a front-wheel drive minivan with a five-seater cabin layout, which can be used both as a “family car” and as a “reliable business partner” for cargo and passenger transportation ...

The car celebrated its official debut in September 2016 at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show.

From the outside, the all-terrain Mercedes-Benz Citan is recognizable by the dark gray wheel arch liners, side skirts and bumpers in the same color tone.

Such minor improvements have slightly refined the appearance of the minivan, making it more attractive and interesting.

Overall length of Mercedes-Benz Citan Off-Road is 4321 mm, width - 2138 mm (including side mirrors), height - 1809 mm. The wheelbase of the car is 2697 mm, and the ground clearance is 147 mm.

When equipped, the five-door weighs from 1365 to 1405 kg, depending on the modification, and its carrying capacity does not exceed 555-710 kg.

In the cabin, the "all-terrain" version of the "Sitan" differs little from the standard "brother" - it can be identified only by the red frame of the ventilation deflectors and the stitching on the seats, armrest and gearshift lever of the same color.

Otherwise, they have full parity - a simple design, inexpensive finishing materials, solid assembly, a five-seat layout and a cargo compartment with a volume of 685-3000 liters.

Under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz Citan Tourer Off-Road, only four-cylinder engines are installed, which are combined with a front-wheel drive transmission:

  • The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine with turbocharging, 8 valves and direct injection, which develops 75-110 horsepower and 180-240 N • m of limit torque.
  • The petrol 1.2-liter "turbo four" with 16-valve timing and direct power technology, producing 114 hp, is also offered for the minivan. and 190 N • m of torque.

Diesel modifications are equipped with only a 5-speed "manual" gearbox, while the petrol versions are equipped with a 6-speed "mechanics".

In terms of "nimbleness" and economy, the car completely repeats the usual model.

From a technical point of view, the "all-terrain" Mercedes-Benz Citan does not differ from the standard "brother" - it has a front-wheel drive platform with MacPherson struts in front and a semi-dependent torsion beam at the rear, electric power steering and disc brakes "in a circle" (on the front axle - with ventilation).

In the Russian market, Mercedes-Benz Citan Off-Road in 2017 is offered only with a gasoline engine at a price of 1,880,000 rubles. In terms of equipment, the minivan corresponds to the “top-end” configuration of the conventional model.
