As has become traditional for many Lexus models, the NX compact crossover is available with a hybrid drive. Presented in April 2014 at the Beijing Motor Show, and then at the Moscow Motor Show in August, the premium "rogue" Lexus NX 300h is offered for purchase to Russian buyers as well.

The appearance and dimensions of the hybrid crossover completely repeats those of the Lexus NX 200, but there is still a certain zest. Upon closer inspection of the car, you will notice that the Lexus emblems have a bluish background, and there is a Hybrid nameplate on the rear doors.

For a more daring and aggressive look, the F SPORT package is available, which includes a mesh radiator grille, a front bumper with a pronounced spoiler, eye-catching wheels and black exterior mirrors.

The interior of the Lexus NX 300h is decorated in the same style as the interior of the naturally aspirated crossover. This means that only a high level of performance, expensive finishing materials and excellent ergonomic performance can be expected from it. The front seats are comfortable and properly shaped, while the rear sofa is three-passenger friendly.

The prerogative of the F SPORT is sport seats with a pronounced profile, perforated leather interior, black headlining, aluminum pedals and metal inlays.

The cargo compartment of the hybrid NX is somewhat inferior in its volume to the "hold" on the NX 200 - the "hybrid" has 475 liters, against the "usual 500". With the rear seat back folded down, the storage space is increased to 1,520 liters and a completely flat area is obtained.

Specifications. The main feature of the Lexus NX 300h is its hybrid powertrain. The leading role is assigned to the atmospheric "four" with a volume of 2.5 liters (works according to the Atkinson cycle), giving out 155 "horses" of power and 210 Nm of maximum traction and rotating only the front wheels. Together with the traditional internal combustion engine, an electric unit with a capacity of 143 horsepower, which develops 270 Nm of torque, is responsible for the front end. The second, more modest electric motor is responsible for the rotation of the rear axle - 68 forces and 139 Nm.

Nickel-metal hybrid batteries are installed under the rear sofa on the Lexus NX 300h, which are capable of providing a couple of kilometers on clean electricity.

The hybrid powertrain is aggregated with a multidrive continuously variable variator and an E-Four all-wheel drive function. The front and rear wheels are not mechanically linked, that is, the independent rear axle receives traction exclusively from a 68-horsepower electric motor when needed.

The hybrid premium crossover is geared towards maximum fuel efficiency, which is why engineers had to sacrifice the car's dynamic capabilities: acceleration from zero to first hundred takes 9.3 seconds at 180 km / h peak speed. Gasoline consumption of the Lexus NX 300h can be compared to that of diesel models of other brands - only 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

The design of the suspension, steering and braking system on the Lexus NX 300h completely repeats the conventional NX 200. The F SPORT modification is equipped with shock absorbers with adjustable stiffness and special dampers that damp body vibrations.

Options and prices. To become the owner of a 2015 Lexus NX 300h in Russia, you will have to pay a minimum of 2,638,000 rubles for the basic Executive version, which is equipped with a large number of active and passive safety systems, head optics with LED filling, a rear view camera, full power accessories, LCD screen with a diagonal of 7 inches and more.
The crossover in the F SPORT version will cost 2,897,000 rubles (the same is for Luxury), in the top-end Exclusive version - 3,137,000 rubles. The most expensive equipment "flaunts" a Russified navigation system, premium audio system, panoramic cameras, wireless charger for a smartphone and more.
