At the international Geneva show of the automotive industry in March 2016, the official debut of the hybrid sports car Lexus LC 500h took place, but its pre-premiere was organized in late February at a private event in The Hague. The car has embodied not only an eccentric appearance and a luxurious interior, but also received an advanced technical component.

Outside, the Lexus LC 500h differs from its “petrol counterpart” only by nameplates, otherwise it is the same beautiful and incredibly cool sports car with a daring and expressive appearance that instantly attracts the eye.

The full-size hybrid coupe is 4,760 mm long, 1,345 mm high and 1,920 mm wide. The distance between the front and rear axles of the "Japanese" is 2870 mm.

Inside, the Lexus LC 500h repeats the standard model - the interior of the sports car looks luxurious and incredibly attractive, exudes excellent workmanship and demonstrates high-tech "content". The decoration of the gasoline-electric sports car is organized according to the "2 + 2" scheme with luxurious front seats and "children's" rear seats.

Specifications. The Lexus LC 500h is powered by an advanced hybrid powertrain. Under the hood of the car is a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine operating according to the Atkinson cycle, with an aluminum cylinder block, direct fuel supply and a 24-valve DOHC timing chain, developing 299 horsepower at 6600 rpm and 348 Nm of peak thrust at 4900 rpm. "Six" is connected to two electric motors by means of an electromechanical variator with three planetary gears, and a 4-band "automatic" with a pair of planetary gear sets and four clutches is installed at the transmission output (as a result, twelve fixed gears are obtained).

The total output of the gasoline-electric unit is 359 "mares", and the lithium-ion battery serves as an intermediate "storage" for energy, delivering up to 44.6 kW to the network. From one place to the first "hundred", the coupe can accelerate in less than 5 seconds, and in the "green mode" gains 140 km / h (other characteristics have not yet been announced).

Structurally, the Lexus LC 500h repeats its "petrol counterpart" - the sports car is based on the global GA-L architecture with an engine longitudinally based in front, a large proportion of high-strength steel in the body structure and an independent spring-link suspension with adaptive "circular" dampers.
By default, the "Japanese" is equipped with active steering with electric booster and a powerful brake complex with ventilated "pancakes" of all wheels.

Options and prices. In the UK, the 2017 Lexus LC500h is offered at a price of 76,595 pounds sterling (~ 5.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

The hybrid coupe demonstrates no less "generous" equipment than the petrol version: eight airbags, modern multimedia, dual-zone "climate", high-quality audio system, 20-inch wheel disks, adaptive chassis, cruise control, LED optics, rear view camera and others "Chips".
