Advertising is called the engine of progress for a reason. With the help of marketing solutions, it is possible to promote various products and services, increase sales, and attract a multimillion audience.

A number of people believe that advertising is a waste of money. And supposedly they do not react to it in any way, they buy what they think is necessary. But in fact, almost every person on a subconscious level takes from the store shelf what he once heard or saw in advertising.

Any businessman and enterprise knows that in order to work successfully in the market of goods or services, it is imperative to invest part of the funds in advertising. And we are talking about impressive amounts. Sometimes even outrageous, as for advertising.

A prime example is the commercials that are played during the National Football League final in the United States. It is this advertisement that is considered the most expensive in the world. It is difficult to give exact numbers. Another thing is interesting. Having invested millions of dollars in 1-3 minute videos, what exactly they decide to show on TV to viewers.

The Super Bowl is the finale of the US football season, which attracts tens of millions of viewers. Moreover, not only from the United States, but also from a number of other countries of the world. And to be with your advertisement at this event means to show the level of your success and demand in the market.

An important feature here is that the finals do not show standard advertisements for products, goods or services. Here you need to demonstrate the core values of companies and brands. Therefore, it will be doubly interesting to find out what the leading auto companies showed in the best car advertisements.

General motors

This is possibly the most expensive video ad ever. And definitely extremely creative. Not just a cool advertisement, but also a cool idea that initially looks like a comedy.

It combines a beautiful picture, solid cast, idea and deep thought in advertising. All this is covered with a layer of humor.

The main character of the video is actor Will Farrell. For some reason, he decided to attack Norway. Strange, where does the car from General Motors. The actor asks the viewer if he knows in which country the most electric cars are sold? Then, holding a globe, he shows Norway on it. Then he breaks up and screams that he will not tolerate this anymore.

Then Farrell goes on a journey. At the same time, taking friends with you. It was the singer Aquafina and also Keenan Thompson. They went to Norway. And Will was driving a Cadillac Lyriq electric car. But all the heroes ended up going in different directions. Friends came to Finland, and Farrell himself arrived in Sweden.

As a result, the protagonist claims that the United States will take revenge and will be the country with the largest sales of electric cars.

It is important to note that General Motors has had a logo change. Moreover, he shows plans to change the brand's approach to production and focus on the development of electric vehicles.

But in fact, General Motors has only one full-fledged electric car project. This is the Chevy Bolt EV. But 30 more models are expected to appear in 2025.

Ford

Ford did not advertise a particular car. Instead, she addressed the audience with a good message.

The manufacturer has come up with a proposal to join forces and direct them to fight the coronavirus pandemic. After a minute of the video, it seems that this is not an advertisement for a car, but some kind of social video calling to take care of each other, help, etc.

In advertising, Ford reminded of themselves, stating that they were among the first to actively develop protective equipment in cars at the height of the pandemic.

Ford also recalled that they donated 120 million face masks to the organization that needed them the most. Advertising or PR, judge for yourself.

Maybe Ford is not fighting for the title of the best advertising car. But they have the most correct message and idea. It is worth praising for this decision.

Jeep

Quite an interesting advertisement aimed at increasing interest in Jeep cars.

In his video, the manufacturer suggests remembering how strong we are and how we can overcome any obstacles we meet on the way. The auto giant also urges not to forget what unites the American people.

Jeep's marketing department did a really good job. They managed to create the image of a strong and independent car company for Jeep.

The ad recalled that Jeep has been a symbol of freedom, authenticity, passion and adventure for 80 years. In fact, this means that the people who choose these machines are the ones who dream, strive for their goals and achieve them.

Toyota

The idea of advertising a Japanese car company, which also appeared at the main sporting event in the United States, is based on the story of our compatriot. This is the 13-time gold medalist of the Paralympics Tatyana Kirillova, who was born in Siberia.

After birth, the baby was transferred to an orphanage, as the parents learned about the congenital health problem. At the age of one, a couple from the United States learned about the girl, who gave her a new life, and also gave her the opportunity to develop. At the age of 23, Tatyana became the winner of the Paralympics.

The message in advertising is quite simple, but extremely important. Toyota reminds us that hope never dies. And there will always be strength to achieve your desires, to realize your dream.

Lucid Motors

Another US car manufacturer. But then he managed to stand out.

At the final, the company showed its 30-second video. And all this time was spent on showing off his new Lucid Air car.

Against the background, a pleasant voice says that no one knows their future. But when this future comes, it may turn out to be completely different from what the person imagined it to be. The future could be much better.

The Lucid Motors company has really been remembered and left its mark. After all, it turned out to be the only car company that advertised the product. Namely, a specific car.

Vroom

It is a large organization in the American automotive market. The company is engaged in buying and selling used cars.

The firm also decided to show itself at the final. And launched a video broadcast.

The idea of the advertisement was to show the difficulties a person has to go through when trying to find the perfect car.

The video shows a man tied to a chair. He literally begs to be released, he wants to go home. But the salon employee continually asks the question if he wants to buy this car. The man replies that he does not want to. After that, the employee reaches for the person, intending to shock him.

At this point, the scene changes. Now this same man is sitting in the courtyard of his house with his wife. An auto transporter from the Vroom company arrives and unloads the car.

The message is that now there is no need to strain too much, go to different salons, trying to find the very car. From now on, the Vroom service will do everything for them. And shopping will be easier, faster and more enjoyable.

It's hard to say how much the most expensive video ended up costing. But advertising at the finals of a major US sporting event can't be cheap. There we are talking about millions of dollars just for the opportunity to show your brand for 30-60 seconds, to convey some idea and at the same time not to directly advertise products and goods. And this is difficult.

The number of Super Bowl Finals commercials is limited. It is not known exactly on what basis the candidates are selected. Perhaps a special team first looks at the videos, determines how they comply with the rules.Or maybe they show those who offered more money. One can only guess.

How do you feel about advertising? Is it really that important? Do you often buy what you have heard or seen in advertising? Why is there such a lot of money in advertising?
